2025 DBECS Katina Ceremony

Each year, at the conclusion of the three-month Summer Rain Retreat (Vassa), lay devotees joyfully offer the Kathina robe—also called the robe of merit—together with food and daily necessities. Through this virtuous act, merit is shared, and the ceremony reflects the harmonious benefit of spiritual practice for both monastic and lay communities.
